A wide range of engaging multiplayer modes accompany tons of single-player fun. ![]() That’s all there is to it.ĭuke Nukem Forever reviews praise the game’s varied arsenal of extremely over-the-top guns, brutal action, and insane levels of interactivity. Kick some alien ass, save hot babes, and be a badass. The world needs saving, and there’s no better man for the job than Duke. Pig cops, gigantic alien bosses, and shrink rays won’t stop you from unleashing chaos. Are you ready for action? You better be, as the boots of Duke Nukem are prepared for you to step into them and wreak havoc on your enemies.ĭuke Nukem Forever puts our favorite action hero against a new batch of alien hordes trying to take over the world. Duke is back to deliver kickass action, gigantic weapons, insane explosions, and pure, chaotic shooter fun. ![]() At this point I've decided I will only buy it on big steam sale, or when it gets fixed properly for PC, or when a mod comes out that fixes these things (fat chance, not holding my breadth for gearbox to release SDK).Duke Nukem Forever Steam key is here to tell you one thing The King has returned to his throne. I dug the gameplay and humor and am a big Duke3d fan, but it's clearly as consolised as it can be and most certainly is not a PC game like they insist. That's why I don't understand why they insist on having an exact carbon copy of the game for all platforms and refuse to tweak these gameplay elements for PCs. It really shouldn't be that hard or cost that much for them to tweak these things seperately for a PC version of the game. That big boss fight clearly showed how out of shape Duke was when he had to cover big spaces in a hurry and it was annoying the shit out of me. *And lastly, ability to be able to run indefinitely like in Duke3d, prefferably with a toggle run option. *Either fixed FOV for 16:10 screens or ability to tweak it yourself. That way I can bust out that shrink ray and have fun with it when I feel like messing around and not have to sacrifice some other nice gun. My list of things that would make this game perfect for PCs: Why on earth would you provide a way for your players to fuck up their mouse feel/aim and get frustrated? Games are always run with 0 acceleration for true 1 to 1 speed/movement ratio, anything else and it gets erratic and frustrating. The fact that Gearbox has a mouse acceleration option they call "precision" which actually works opposite of what the numbers suggest shows how detached they are from PC gaming. I replayed the demo with mouse precision at 1 and sensitivity at 3 and it was much much better. I guess Gearbox figured when someone jacks up "precision", they'll pull a prank on them and make their mouse even more imprecise. I initially put mouse precision to 10 thinking it would get rid of mouse acceleration and was wrong. Space is limited, so you'll need to get in and request a ticket. Along with Coyote Ugly ladies, there'll be music from The Crystal Method and, ah, DJ Jazzy Jeff. If you'll be in Dallas, Texas this Saturday evening, Gearbox is inviting Dukemaniacs to the Happy Ending launch event. Downloadable content has been confirmed for post-launch, with the first pack free for members of Duke's First Access Club. Europeans, however, will be able to play from this Friday, June 10. She says it's intended for "experienced users" but you're an experienced user, aren't you? Unlike those console babbies, you built your Dukebox from scratch, with your own bare hands, in the snow, uphill both ways, in your toolshed, using scrap metal, forged in the heat of your own breath, isn't that right?ĭeveloped by 3D Realms, Triptych Games, Piranha Games, and new franchise owner Gearbox Software, Duke Nukem Forever will launch in North America on June 14. "This will be an unsupported features, but it will be there for those that want to use it," Tobey notes. Super-lady Elizabeth Tobey of publisher 2K Games dropped the news on its forums. PC gamers, rejoice! Amidst all the E3 hubbub and bustle, it's been confirmed that the PC edition of Duke Nukem Forever will support dedicated servers.
